Colored Stripes On Accident

Beach day at Zuma Beach, CA and tennis at Mission Oaks Park in Camarillo, CA. The film is cross-processed which produces the trippy colors.

"Colors answer feeling in man; shapes answer thought; and motion answers will." -

"the world fascinates me"

This morning, my sister and I made it to the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts Museum on North Broadway. We had less than an hour to make it through the entire collection... not nearly enough time. The museum includes the art of recent graduates and has a special exhibit of polaroids and black and white photos by Andy Warhol until September 12.

"My idea of a good picture is one that's in focus and of a famous person doing something unfamous. It's being in the right place at the wrong time"
Andy Warhol

It's Always Sunny

We braved hours of torrential rain and finally made it to Philadelphia. The grey-blue skies and mist burned off and by late afternoon, it was sunny and warm.

Tomorrow, we'll do the sight-seeing...

"There is nothing more poetic and terrible than the skyscrapers' battle
with the heavens that cover them.
Snow, rain, and mist highlight, drench, or conceal the vast towers,
but those towers, hostile to mystery and blind to any sort of play,
shear off the rain's tresses and shine their
three thousand swords through the soft swan of the fog"

I Spy An Orange Butterfly...

I was outside on a lounge chair in my backyard today and this monarch butterfly wouldn't leave me alone. It flew right over me a million times. I so hoped it would land on my nose. It didn't, but I managed to get some shots of its in-flight adventure around my head.
